| Lo Fun Fact #1 |
| "Lolita Files" is my real name. It is not a pen name, as incredible as that may seem. There are plenty of Files family members and people who have known me for years capable of validating this. As for the "Lolita" part, my mother named me after the movie based on Nabokov's book, although she saw or read neither. To this day, she has no idea what a "Lolita" is. |
| Lo Fun Fact #2 |
| I love fried chicken and fabulous shoes. If you ever want to get on my good side, send Popeye's or Mr. Chicken (my favorite spot in Cleveland) and a pair of
Christian Louboutins. |
| Lo Fun Fact #3 |
| Never show up unannounced or without a Pepsi (preferably Pepsi Jazz Caramel Cream). Better yet, how about not show up at all? |
| Lo Fun Fact #4 |
| I hate the telephone. Don't get mad if I don't call you. I don't call anyone. Don't call me asking why I don't call. Just don't call, okay? |
| Lo Fun Fact #5 |
| I love the internet!!! I love communicating through the internet!!! You can e-mail me and odds are I'll e-mail you right back (if I'm not in the middle of a major project). Makes up for my hangup about the phone, doesn't it? See, I'm not so bad after all!!! |
| Lo Fun Fact #6 |
| I can't stand IMing. Please don't IM me. You will get the cold shoulder. I don't like giving people the cold shoulder, so please don't put me in that position. |
| Lo Fun Fact #7 |
I have four five six wonderful, slap-happy dogs, a bird (some kind of dove/pigeon mix), and a cat, all of whom I love to pieces. If you meet me and ask me about my dogs, bird, and cat, we'll be instant friends. If you meet me and ask me why the f*ck I have four five six dogs, a bird, and a cat, see the above fun fact for how I will respond. |

| Show Some Love |
| Tuesday, February 13, 2007 |

Every time I type the words "show some love" for some reason I think of Steve Harvey. However, those words are the exact sentiment that I wish to express when I suggest that on Valentines Day everyone go out and support Tyler Perry's new film Daddy's Little Girls Besides having the lovely Gabrielle Union and the strickingly handsome Idris Elba, the film looks to be a winner. Supporting this movie during it's mid week premier positions it to not only set a record for opening week sales, but it also gives you the opportunity to make a statement to Hollywood that you enjoy seeing positive African American films. If you haven't seen the trailer already, enjoy the preview. The preview at the movie's website, gives a slightly different look at the film. Check that out also, if you like. |

Hey I worked on this film... Saw it on the eighth. Enjoy. Tee hee hee.
-
kinda glad to see this "type" of film, fathers and daughters...not to kick the father/son unity, but society seems to "buddy-up" with dads and son, as if dads and daughters have no commonplace.
best of luck to tyler perry and denea, who worked on the film.

Cool. You worked on this. That's awesome. Were you behind the scenes or should we look for you on the screen?
-
It's good to see a film to portray Black men in a positive light. I plan on going to a mid-day showing on tomorrow.
-
Behind the scenes. I made posters (a few with my profile pic on them), Bday cards, etc. I did the graphix for signs (Wheat Street Baptist church, Lester's PoolHall, Rossmore Blake). I can't remember which ones are seen on screen. And other art related items.
PS. I can't act, dance, or sing... you'll prolly NEVER see me in front of the camera.

Sometimes behind the scenes is the best place to be, because then your work continues to produce for you and not your good looks or age or any of that stuff that affects actors.

I tend not to be a fan of TP's stage productions but will definitely go see this one. You got to admire the brother for sticking to his dream

about this time last year, i was mouthin' off on the lo zone about these "new" anti-black man films like "big momma's house 2", "madea's fam. reu" (black men in drag) and "something new" (experimentation at it's worse). all were shown within the month of february '06
mad props again for TP, on this venture. i just hope his writing and directing is stronger than his last film. the premise sounds promising and with lou gossett, jr representin'...it should do favorably well. i hope the weather doesn't hurt his box office draw...as well as the bootleggers...FUCKAS!

I just read that in the archives last night, when you and lboogie were going at over Tyler Perry's work.
